Friday, September 20th - Day 10 Eze-sur-Mer & Trains

Today was hot and sunny.  After a lazy morning we drove down to check out the Eze beach.

Stolen from the web:  You can see the narrow sandy beach with the railroad beside it.  The train runs along the Cote d'Azur making many stops along the coast, including Ez-sur-Mer - so easy for tourists.

We parked on the road by the train tracks and headed to the beach - first one end, encountered a restaurant, and then back up to the other end to the entrance to the public beach at the train station.  By the way, the delightful Tourist Information Office person was very helpful  and allowed us to practice some of our very rusty French with her!

The stony beach is quite long and the water is easily warm enough for swimming, but wear shoes!

A friendly doctor and his wife on holiday from Paris took our photo (returning the favor as we'd taken one of them!).

Trip to the beach followed by reading on the terrace.
